Botox treatment
With Botox treatment, the cosmetic nurse injects a very small amount of botulinum toxin into specific muscles in the face. This blocks nerve impulses to the muscles and leads to temporary muscle relaxation. This helps to reduce visible lines and wrinkles in the area being treated.
Botox treatment can take a few minutes to complete and you can usually return to normal activities immediately after the treatment. There may be some redness, swelling or bruising at the injection site, but this usually disappears within a few days.
Botox treatment can give a more natural and youthful appearance, but it is important to be aware that the results are temporary. The treatment must be repeated every 3-6 months to maintain the results.
Side effects of Botox treatment are rare, but may include headache, pain or discomfort at the injection site, or temporary drooping eyelids.
